It is the time of year where traveling is at it’s highest. A lot of people are traveling for vacations, to visit friends and family for the holidays, it’s a busy time of year. If your anything like me, as much as I love traveling, packing and the journey to get to my destination can be very stressful. It's easy to forget things, pack too much, not have enough space, etc. In this article, you will find what beauty essentials to pack in your travel bag. I’m hoping I can give some tips to make the packing and travel experience a little less chaotic and stressful. What you will want/need in your travel bag will vary from what's listed below. I’m showing the most used and most beneficial products. However, if you’re looking for a specific list you can look at what your most used products are and add them into your bag. Get Travel Containers

Most people travel on airplanes. Unfortunately, you can’t bring full-size bottles of lotion, moisturizer, foundation, etc in your carry-on. The most you can bring in your carry-on is three ounces. So that means all the containers you bring with you can’t contain more than three ounces. Fortunately, there are companies out there that make containers you can bring in your carry-on. They come in different sizes and colors. The different sizes are for different things, like foundation, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner to name a few. These containers are made to prevent leaks, be small enough to be accepted on most airlines, and work for several products.

Sunscreen

Whatever you do, make sure you pack sunscreen! Even if you think you’re going to a place that isn’t very sunny, do it anyway. Depending on where you are traveling to it can sometimes be hard to find and expensive. When people think of sunscreen they think the only place they have to wear it is at the beach. That is not true. You should be wearing sunscreen when you will be out in the sun for long periods of time. So if you’re sightseeing or walking from one place to another you should be wearing sunscreen. Also, don't forget that the UV index will vary depending on where you go. If the UV index is high you can burn in under 30 minutes.

Moisturizer

Also, make sure you pack moisturizer! A lot of people are not good about staying hydrated while traveling. That with the combination of the recycled air in an airplane and altitude change can take a toll on your skin. So bringing moisturizer is a good idea. You can apply the moisturizer whenever you start to feel your skin drying out to give it a boost. Staying hydrated is important as well so make sure you try to drink enough water.

Eye Cream

Eye cream may not seem very important but it actually is! When I got to the airport I tend to not wear makeup because I feel very tired and not interested. I know airports and planes can be stressful for a lot of people so for the most part people aren’t thinking about what they look like. I don’t blame them, I’m one of those people too! But eye cream is a great thing to have because you can just pop some under your eyes and you won’t look as tired and drained.

Foundation

Foundation is a great beauty essential for traveling, but it can also be a tricky one too. Where your going will determine what foundation you need to bring. Does it need to be long lasting? WIll it need to withstand humidity? Will it need to be waterproof? You want to make sure you will have a foundation you can count on. BB cream may be your best choice because it can give you a nice even look without the need to blend for long periods of time. It is also light and won’t weigh down on your face.

Concealer

Concealer is a great choice if you don't want to wear a ton of makeup but still want to cover up your imperfections. Just like foundation, it can be a little tricky. Make sure you bring a concealer you can rely on.

Mascara

Mascara is one of the most important essentials in my opinion. That is because it is such a great product. Just like eye cream if you don't want to wear any makeup or very little mascara is the way to go. Mascara makes such a drastic change to your face on its own. It brightens your face. Mascara can also meet the needs of your vacation, it can be waterproof, smudge proof, etc.
